Managed Server Features
(This is applied to both Windows and Linux Operating Systems)
- Up to 180 GB of fast HD storage (for OS, programs and data)
- An Internet server configured to perform the following Internet services: static or dynamic web Hosting and email for one or more Internet domains
- Most models can typically serve over 1 million web hits and send/receive 50,000 emails per day. (Results will vary with complexity.)
- Up to 10 initial customer users as a demo for selected customer reps
- Delivery and installation of the server in a HiWAAY NOC
- Optional reliability hardening (RAID, ECC RAM, redundant PS)
- For the Windows version, includes all normal features provided with the Windows 2003 Server Web Edition, such as ASP, VB script and Windows Media Services
- Repairs to the server at no cost for all hardware failures and with standard labor rates for software problems
- 2U Co-location space in our Network Operations Center; bandwidth sold separately
The HiWAAY Management Option Provides:
- Ongoing security hardening, management and maintenance of the server and operating system, including security updates
- 24/7 monitoring of server status
- Optional daily backup to tape with weekly offsite storage
- Monitoring of the server
- Software maintenance configuration control and monitor server loads and logs
Web Hosting Features:
- Front Page (Windows server only)
- ASP (Windows server only)
- PHP
- MySQL database (compatible with MS Access and other ODBC compatible clients)
- DAV for DreamWeaver, GoLive! And other standards-based web development systems (Linux server only)
- Web hit statistics via Webalyzer
Email Features:
- Web-based management (add, delete and change addresses)
- Web-based email (with optional SSL)
- Compatible all standard POP/IMAP email programs
- Web-based email mailing lists
- Optional junk mail and virus filtering via AnteSpam
Internet Domains Include:
- Point multiple domains to your web site.
- Add/delete web and email domains.
- Create new email and web addresses with domain aliases.
BusinessWare Includes:
- Personal and group calendars with Palm/WinCE compatibility
- Virtual Meeting Rooms
- Web-based discussion areas
HiWAAY can manage your server remotely, if you choose to locate at your own facility. However, you can access your server and information remotely or in person 24/7 when you choose to locate in a secure reliable HiWAAY Network Operations Center. This service is available for Windows and Linux operating systems to work with your choice of platforms.
